Abigail was incredible from day one! We found her online and had a brief Zoom chat to discuss everything for our wedding day. In the lead-up, she even took Kyla and Jax on a big walk to get to know them — which instantly put us at ease.

Honestly, our wedding day wouldn’t have been the same without her. Abigail’s professionalism, calm energy, and attention to detail were noticed by all our guests. She was completely on the ball throughout the day, ensuring our dogs were cared for, happy, and perfectly part of our celebration.

From the very beginning of planning our wedding, we knew that Milo (our now 4-year-old Labrador Retriever) HAD to be a part of it!

Milo is a huge part of our little family, so the idea of him not being there with us just wasn’t an option. Once we’d booked our wedding in the Lake District, we started looking into dog chaperones and very quickly came across The Wild Dog Company (formerly Luna’s Dad). Everything we saw made them stand out, so we arranged to meet Abigail in person - so that we could get to know her, but mostly to see what Milo thought!

We left that first meeting knowing 100% that Abigail was the person we wanted looking after Milo on our wedding day, and we’re pretty sure Milo had made the same decision!

It was immediately obvious how experienced Abigail is with dogs, but more importantly, you can just tell how much she genuinely loves and understands them. As dog owners, there’s something incredibly reassuring about seeing someone interact with your dog and just knowing they’re in safe hands.

On the morning of the wedding, Abigail arrived bright and early to collect Milo, which meant we could concentrate on getting ready and enjoying the morning without having to worry about him. While we were doing that, Milo was basically having his own wedding morning! He went for a walk, had plenty of time to settle and bond with Abigail, and even had a trip to the groomers so he could look his absolute best.

When he arrived at the venue in his little tux, looking (and smelling) very clean, we could tell he was very calm and happy with Abigail. Abigail had thought of absolutely everything. She came dressed so professionally and fitted in perfectly with the wedding, and throughout the day she was always there when Milo needed her without ever feeling intrusive.

One of our absolute favourite moments of the entire wedding was Milo carrying our rings down the aisle. Abigail sat with him towards the back during the ceremony and, when the time came, released him to run down the aisle to us with the rings. It worked perfectly and is a moment we’ll remember forever!

It was a hot day too, and Abigail was completely prepared. She found Milo a shady spot, had cooling mats ready for him and made sure he was comfortable throughout, while bringing him over whenever it was time for him to be involved. And he certainly was involved - from sharing pizza with us and being the first one to try our wedding cake!

We never had to choose between having Milo involved and being fully present at our own wedding - that was probably the biggest thing Abigail gave us on the day. We got to have him there for all of those special little moments, while still being able to completely relax and enjoy ourselves because we knew Abigail had everything covered and that Milo was happy and relaxed.

Our wedding genuinely wouldn’t have been the same without Milo there, and having Milo there in the way we wanted simply wouldn’t have been possible without Abigail. She was professional, caring, lovely to be around and, most importantly to us, treated Milo with so much love and care as we would. All of our family and friends commented on how amazing Abigail was - she truly felt like a member of the family there on the day!

If you’re including your dog and fur-baby on your wedding day, booking Wild Dog Company is an absolute MUST. We genuinely couldn’t recommend Abigail enough!
